Shrimp Cocktail Market Street
(Serves 4)

Dill Sauce Ingredients:
Cocktail Sauce Ingredients:
1 pint chili sauce
2 ounces tomato juice
2 ounces prepared horseradish
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce

Cocktail Sauce Method:
Combine all ingredients and blend well.

Shrimp Ingredients:
1 pound shrimp in the shell (16/20 size)
2 tablespoons salt
1 gallon water
1 lemon, cut in half

Shrimp Method:
Place the water, salt, and lemon in a large pot and bring to a boil. Add the shrimp and cook for 3-5 minutes. Drain in a colander and chill under cold running water. Peel and devein the shrimp.

Assemble the shrimp cocktail:
On individual serving plates, arrange the shrimp on fresh lettuce leaves, or shredded lettuce, add cocktail sauce, and serve with a wedge of fresh lemon.

An additional option for a shrimp dipping sauce:
Market Street Mustard Sauce
Yield: 3/4 cup

Ingredients:
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
pinch of white pepper
2 ounces regular or non-alcoholic white wine
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon salt

Method:
Place the dry mustard and prepared mustard, pepper, and regular or non-alcoholic white wine in a small mixing bowl and work all ingredients together. Add the remaining ingredients. Chill until serving time.

Note: Leftover cocktail sauce will keep for 3 weeks in the refrigerator.
